When you CAN'T SLEEP and your mind starts to wonder, try to start thinking about ETERNITY or DEATH and it will drive you CRAZY! We can try to keep ourselves BUSY and act like we're never going to die and choose not to think about it or maybe talk ourselves into thinking that we have nothing to worry about, but the fact is, death and eternity are things we all have to deal with. Jesus talked about DEATH & HELL more than anyone else in the Bible, why? Because He desperately loves us and He doesn't want anyone to go there! He willingly died a gruesome death on the cross for us so we wouldn't have to go to Hell and Jesus said Himself that the only way that we can escape an eternity in Hell after we die is if we truly BELIEVE in Him. Believing in Jesus means fully trusting and knowing Him, telling Him we're sorry for our sins, turning away from our sins, and then striving to love Him and live for Him the rest of our lives. He died on the cross for you, and He rose again so that you could be forgiven and spend eternity in Heaven. If you haven't made the decision to ask Jesus to save you, then please don't wait any longer. Just pray to Him right now and say: "Jesus, I know that you love me, and I believe you are the Son of God and that You died on the cross and rose again. I'm sorry for all of my sins and mistakes. I ask you right now to forgive me of all of my sins and give me eternal life in Heaven. You are my Father, my Lord, my Savior, and my Friend and I ask You right now to give me Your Holy Spirit and help me live for You every day of my life. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name. Amen." If you prayed that prayer and you meant it with all of your heart then I truly believe that your life will never be the same! You will feel a peace come over you that you've never felt before. That's the love of Jesus. NEW BELIEVER TIPS
1. TURN & GET BAPTIZED (try to stop doing the bad things that you asked Jesus to forgive you for and when you're trying to decide if something is wrong or not, ask yourself "Would I do this if Jesus was right next to me?" Also, get baptized to show others that you've decided to change your life and live for Christ now!:-) Text me and I'll make sure you get baptized somewhere:-)
2. READ: Get to know who Jesus is and listen to him by reading the Bible (read the book of John and then read Romans and then Ephesians) Also, here's a link to a facebook document I created that has every command Jesus ever gave so you can get to know Him better:-)
3. PRAY: Start speaking to Jesus through prayer (when you pray, heres a great way to do it: ask Jesus to let what he wants to happen take place, ask him to provide for your needs, ask him to forgive you of your sins, ask him to help you forgive others, ask him to not let you be led into tempting situations, ask him to keep you away from all evil, and ask to help you glorify him in all that you do.)
4. GO TO CHURCH: Get in a good church (I go to Milestone Church in Keller www.milestonechurch.com) Also, surround yourself with other strong Christians. Be consistent in going even when it's hard.
5. TELL: Tell others about Jesus (share John 3:16 with others and invite friends to church and RISE meetings...tell other people what Jesus has done in your life:-)
